Q: Who is the awarding body for diplomas?

A: IQN is the awarding body for diplomas. IQN diploma certificates bear the SCQF logo and the name of the SCQF credit rating body based in the UK.

Q: How can I study IQN diplomas?

Q: What are the entry requirements for the IQN diplomas?

A: Our qualifications are open for all and no formal academic entry required for most undergraduate level diplomas.

Q: Who conducts IQN diploma exams?

A: Our diploma exams are conducted by our registered centres located in different countries of the world.

Q: Can I sit for the same exam if I secure the passing marks?

A: No, IQN does not allow re-sit for the exam in which pass mark has already been secured.

Q: Is there any limit for the number of attempts for a particular exam?

A: No. You can retake the exam as many times as you wish until you score the pass mark.

Q: I do not have any IQN registered center in my country. How can I study for IQN diploma?

A: Unfortunately you cannot study IQN diplomas if we do not have a registered centre in your location. However, you can study IQN professional courses. For details, please contact at support@iqnglobal.com.

Q: Can I get past exam papers to prepare for the diploma exams?

A: Our policy is not to share past exam papers with students. However, your centre will provide you with exam style practice questions.

Q: How much time does it take to prepare for the diploma exams?

A: It largely depends on your academic background on the relevant subject and your study skills. Time will vary from person to person.

Q: Is the coursebook of each qualification sufficient for their respective exams?

A: Coursebooks are designed to cover all the contents of their respective qualifications. We believe a coursebook is sufficient for preparation of the exam. Students can also go through Practice Questions to get idea about the exam questions.


FAQ: Professional Certification exams

Q: Who is the awarding body for certifications?

A: SQA is the awarding body for professional certifications. The certificates include the logos of both IQN and SCQF.

Q: When/How can I register for the professional course exams?

A: You can register for certification exam online at http://vue.com/iqn/. Registration and exam scheduling can be performed any time of the year.

Q. Is there any fee for initial registration?

A. No, initial registration is completely free. You have to pay only when you book for an exam.

Q: What documents do I need to submit to complete my Pearson VUE registration?

A: You need to provide your personal details (including a valid email ID) to register your Pearson VUE student account.

Q: What is my Pearson VUE Candidate ID number?

A: You can find your IQN Candidate ID on the top-right corner of your computer screen once you have successfully created your Pearson VUE student account at http://vue.com/iqn/. Its starts with the initials “IQN” followed by an eight-digit number, e.g. IQNxxxxxxxx.

Q: If I am unable to attend a scheduled exam, will I get any refund?

A: IQN does not refund any exam fee. If you think you are likely to miss a scheduled exam date, we suggest you to re-schedule the exam immediately.

Q: In case I doubt my result, where do I report?

A: Our certification exams are conducted by Pearson VUE, which is a globally renowned testing platform. Evaluation is entirely done by the computerised system. In case you have any doubt, you can always reach us by email at support@iqnglobal.com.

Q: What is the fee for rescheduling an exam?

A: There is no fee for rescheduling an exam date.

Q: Can I schedule a new exam immediately after failing an exam?

A: Yes, you can schedule a new exam any time after you have failed in your previous exam. The schedules should be done through your existing Pearson VUE web account.

Q: When do I get my result after finishing an exam?

A: Result would appear on your computer screen immediately after you submit the answers.

Q: Is there any provision for negative marking in MCQs or exam questions?

A: No, our assessment does not allow any negative marking.

Q: What is the total marks in each exam?

A: All the exams are set to a total of 100 marks.

Q: What is the duration of each exam?

A: 1 hour.

Q: How do I pay for the exam (fees)?

A: Fees are payable through credit/debit card through Pearson VUE web account.

Q: Where the professional certification exams are held?

A: Exams are held at authorised Pearson VUE exam centres around the world.

Q: How can I find Pearson VUE exam centre near my place?

Q: How can I schedule my exam?

A: Please visit http://vue.com/iqn/schedule/ to schedule your exam.

Q: Can I leave the exam centre if I finish early?

A: Yes, you can leave the exam centre early if you finish your exam before time.

Q: How can I report if something happens at the exam centre that affects my performance?

A: Please notify the exam supervisor during your exam to take the necessary steps to resolve the matter and/or alternatively will bring the matter into IQN’s attention by emailing us at support@iqnglobal.com.

Q: Can I change the exam centre while rescheduling my exam?

A: Yes, you can change your exam centre at the time of rescheduling your exam.

Q: What happens if I arrive late for my exam?

A: If your late time doesn’t exceed one hour, you may be allowed to sit for your exam but you will not receive any extra time as a compensation for your delay.

Q: I have mistakenly booked an exam for a different qualification, what should I do?

A: Unfortunately, you can’t change the qualification once it is booked. You can only change the date and centre for the exam.

Q: How do I know if my exam scheduling was successful?

A: You will get a confirmation email from Pearson VUE after scheduling an exam.

Q: Which countries are not supported by Pearson VUE payment service?

A: Due to OFEC sanctions, Pearson VUE does not accept payments from cards registered to the following countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Benin, Cameroon, Gambia, Ghana, Lebanon, Nigeria, Pakistan, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya and Iran.

Q: What documents do I need to bring to attend the exam?

A: You are required to show your driving license/photo ID/passport to the centre-supervisor.


FAQ: Exemptions related

Q: How can I claim for exemption(s)?

A: Exemption applications are assessed on case by case basis. You are required to send the scanned copy of the required educational documents at support@iqnglobal.com.

Q: What documents do I need to present for exemption?

A: You need to present official proofs of previous qualification(s) such as copies of academic transcripts, award certificates, etc.

All documents must be presented in English. Any non-English document must be translated through ‘official translating authority’ with valid stamp/signature of the translating body.

Q: Do I need to send hard copies of my documents for exemption(s)?

A: No, you just need to attach the soft copies of your documents while completing the exemption form.

Q: In order to check for eligibility for exemption, do I need to pay any fee for my documents to be assessed by IQN?

A: No, the exemption evaluation would be done free of charge.

Q: What exemptions are available for me?

A: You can get full or partial exemption based on your relevant prior learning and/ experience. A standard exemption fee of £129 is applicable for each approved exemption.

Q: What type and level of previous qualifications are required to claim for exemption?

A: Exemptions can be claimed for qualifications that are obtained from recognised educational institutions worldwide. These qualifications include certificates and diplomas, foundation degrees, bachelor degrees, postgraduate qualifications, professional qualifications and work experience.

Q: What can I do if I have not been awarded the exemption that I applied for?

A: IQN  doesn’t guarantee exemption to any student when the exemption is sought. IQN reserves the right to

FAQ: Certificate related

Q: I have successfully completed a qualification. When would I receive my certificate(s)?

A: You should receive your certificate(s) within 6 weeks from the date you have passed the exam(s).

Q: Where will the certificate be sent?

A: If you are studying diploma with a registered centre, we would send your certificate to your training centre. If you are studying professional courses independently, IQN will dispatch your certificate to your postal address provided by you at Pearson VUE web account.

Q: Can I get the soft copy of my certificate?

A: No, IQN does not provide any soft copy of the certificate.

Q: I have received damaged certificate, where do I report?

A: Please email us at support@iqnglobal.com in case you have received a damaged certificate. Subject to availability of evidence, IQN may issue a duplicate copy at free of cost.

Q: I have lost my certificate, what do I do?

A: Please email us at support@iqnglobal.com to claim a replacement certificate. Replacement certificate may be issued if valid reasons are produced and valid evidence are shown.

Q: Which name will appear in my certificate?

A: IQN will issue your certificate exactly with the “name” that you have provided in your Pearson VUE web account. We suggest you to be careful when providing name in Pearson VUE web account..

Q: I have received my certificate with incorrect name, where do I report?

A: Please email us at support@iqnglobal.com in order to request for a replacement certificate with correct name.

Q: What documents do I need to submit to change or correct my name in the certificate?

A: You need to provide valid photo identity card and other acceptable evidence in order to justify your claim. You will also be charged £49 plus postage charges for replacement certificate fee.

Q: How can I or my employers verify the authenticity of the certificate?

A: You (or your employer) can verify the authenticity of your certificate anytime by emailing us a scanned copy of your certificate at support@iqnglobal.com.

Q: What happens if I don’t receive my certificate in 6 weeks?

A: If your certificate hasn’t reached you within 6 weeks from your result date, you must email us at support@iqnglobal.com as early as possible.
