GCMA is SCQF credit rated by Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA). SQA is the national awarding body in Scotland. GCMA is recognised on the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) at level 8 with 120 credit points. SCQF is one of the national qualifications frameworks in the UK. GCMA is also referenced as a level 5 qualification in the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).
GCMA certification consists of following three units.

There are no formal entry requirements. GCMA is open to all – from school leavers to post graduates and employees who want to increase their knowledge and skills in financial management. However, it may be of particular interest to:
▪ Managers who take regular financial decisions for business
▪ University students considering careers in the field of finance and/or further study
▪ Individuals with a general interest in business and finance
Step 1: Registration

Step 2: Study
If we have a registered centre near your location, you will have to study with the centre. If we don’t have a centre in your location, only then we will share free guidelines with you so that you can study independently.
Step 3: Exam
Once your preparation is complete, you can take GCMA exams any time of the year. GCMA exams are available in 175 countries through Pearson VUE Test Centres. For details about exam registration, please visit our microsite at Pearson VUE.
There are three units/exams in GCMA certification: (1) Accounting (2) Finance and (3) Management Accounting. You have the freedom to attempt the exams in any order you prefer. Duration of each exam is 60 minutes and total mark is 100. You will need to get minimum 50% marks to pass each exam. If you fail, you can always resit the exam. There is no restriction on the number of resit you can attempt.

Our exam fee is £129 for each unit. Exam fees are payable through Pearson VUE web account. Exam fees become due only when you decide to take the exam. If you in fail your first exam, you can resit by paying only £49. If we have a registered centre in your location, you will have to study with the support from one of our centres. The centre will provide study support and preparation classes for GCMA exams. Tuition fees charged by the centre are in addition to IQN exam fee. Kindly note we do not allow any ‘independent study’ in locations where we have registered centre.

If you have already achieved a comparable qualification in accounting or finance, then you may claim exemption from GCMA exams. Click here to submit your exemption application online. Students who have successfully completed CFS certification can claim two exemptions in GCMA. Exemption fees are exactly same as GCMA exam fees.
