CFS certification is recognised on the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) as a Level 8 qualification. The SCQF is one of the national qualifications frameworks in the UK. The SCQF is a partnership between the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA), College Development Network, the Scottish Qualifications Authority and Universities Scotland. The CFS certification is also recognised as a Level 5 qualification in the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).
CFS certification provides you with skills that are at the cutting edge of financial accounting practices. In the accounting unit, you will learn how to prepare, interpret and critically evaluate financial statements. In the finance unit, you will get the opportunity to learn the basic theory and analytical skills that are much-needed for working capital management. You will examine the workings and efficiency of capital markets and you will master the principles of capital structure. You will be able to perform business valuations using simulated cases. You will learn how to evaluate business mergers and acquisition decisions. You will analyse company restructuring alternatives and make smart investment appraisal decisions. Moreover, you will also enjoy an introduction to the fundamental concepts of Islamic finance.

If we have a registered centre in your location, you will need to attend CFS exam preparation classes with the centre. If we do not have any registered centre in your location, we will share free coursebooks with you so that you can study independently.
Once your preparation is complete, you can take CFS exams any time of the year. CFS exams are available ‘on-demand’ in 175 countries through Pearson VUE Test Centres. The exams can be booked through Pearson VUE website.
CFS consists of the following two units.

There are two exams in CFS: (1) Accounting exam and (2) Finance exam. You have the freedom to start with either accounting or finance exam. Duration of each exam is 60 minutes and total mark is 100. You will need to get minimum 50% marks to pass each exam. If you fail, you can always resit the exam. There is no restriction on the number of resit you can attempt.

Our exam fee is £129 for each unit. Exam fees are payable through Pearson VUE web account. If you fail in your first exam, you can always resit by paying only £49. If you are studying with a registered centre, you will need to pay tuition fees to the centre.
