Entry Requirements - Who can study IQN PGD courses?
To enrol, learners must have either:
A recognised Higher National Diploma (HND), Associate Degree, or an equivalent qualification; OR
Two years of full-time relevant work experience.
Approved providers are responsible for checking each learner’s eligibility.
How the PGD courses work
1. Deliver the IQN PGD Course
Approved learning providers deliver the PGD programme using IQN’s official syllabus and recommended learning resources. Providers set their own tuition fees and manage all aspects of learner enrolment, teaching, and support.
2. Conduct and Mark the Final Examination
At the end of the course, providers prepare, administer, and mark the final examination in line with IQN’s assessment guidelines. Although IQN supplies sample questions and guidance, each provider is responsible for developing its own exam paper.
3. Register Learners for IQN Certification
Upon successful completion, providers register their learners with IQN for certification. IQN then issues a digitally verifiable certificate. Learners pay the PGD certification fee of GBP 35–55, depending on the country zone, through the provider.

No. PGD courses are self-regulated professional awards. They are privately quality-assured by IQN but not regulated by Ofqual or credit-rated under SCQF.
IQN is not regulated by Ofqual or SQA. IQN has over a decade of experience delivering SCQF credit-rated qualifications, which are nationally recognised in Scotland. However, our Professional Graduate Diplomas (PGDs) are self-regulated and are not subject to any external regulation.
An IQN PGD demonstrates advanced professional competence based on a structured syllabus, formal exam, and external certification. PGD certificate confirms both IQN’s academic design and learning provider’s independent assessment.
It is the responsibility of each learning provider to seek any additional local recognition that may be required. Learners should receive clear guidance from their provider regarding local acceptance or recognition before enrolment.
To begin the approval process, learning providers simply need to express their interest by contacting support@iqnglobal.com. There are no approval fees and no annual maintenance costs. Depending on the region, providers pay GBP 35 to GBP 55 per learner for PGD certification.
